From where I am standing, are they not EXACTLY the same?

Both companies allow publishers to deny the right to resell games.  Both companies allow publishers to charge those who purchase used games an additional fee.  Both companies will not do this for their first party games.

Exactly the same? You need to provide proof that Sony is doing anything more than online pass codes. Which you can't. It's sheer speculation on your part or flawed logic. All Sony has said is you can play used games, it wont require an internet connection, and if publishers want to make a system that requires an online registration (key codes AKA online pass) they can. I don't see how you can come to your conclusions with the information provided. Especially since it's obvious there is no DRM uniformly incorporated into the system unlike MS... so how could they possible enforce it?

I am sorry, why do I have to prove anything?

What logic have I put forward that is flawed?  Is there any evidence whatsoever that Microsoft is doing anything more than requiring online pass codes?  Indeed, Microsoft appears to be adopting much the same approach it has had with the Xbox 360, and Sony the same with the PS3. Microsoft's system comes with a couple of advantages and a couple of drawbacks.

Drawbacks: An internet connection will be required once per day.

Advantages of the system: All games can be designed with regular updates in mind, the potential for cloud computation (drastically improving game performance) and dramatically enhanced social connectivity.

Now for some people having to connect to the internet every day is an absolute deal breaker, and that is fine.  For those to whom this is not an issue, the Xbox One looks set to be a fantastic home entertainment system.  Just as with the PS4, we'll have to wait until after E3 to know whether or not it will be worth purchasing as a game's console.

What we know is limited for both consoles.  However what we can quite readily infer from both companies is that their DRM systems will be damn near identical.
