You know the xb1 will also play used games right?  All i was saying is that is pretty clear that when you buy a used game both ps4 and ms will probably allow the publisher to decide if that game can be played on the new console without an upfront fee for the resale of the game.  We know how ms is doing it but I'm not sure how ps4 is going to implement it, my guess it will be some sort of DRM.  With what Sony has said about how they will allow publishers to handle this I assume they have some sort of system in place to handle it.  Why else would they answer the question the way they did.  If they weren't going to be detailing with used sale fees they would have just said, we are going to keep the current system we have.

You can play used games.... I didn't say you couldn't. You just can't rent because they are used and can't loan games because they are used and you need to buy it at participating retailers... And sorry, you are wrong. Ps4 couldn't possibly leave that up to publishers because they don't have any universal requirements where they would be able to enforce such things. Best they can do is allow publishers to use key codes for when you try to get online. Why would the answer the question like they did? Because the question was asked.... and they clearly answered it... I'm not sure what you are asking.

I know they clearly answered it, I read your original post, the part where it says Sony is leaving used games up to the publishers.  You said it yourself it sounds like online passes, which is what ms is doing but like j_allard just posted ms just took it one step further and made the whole process mandatory.  Do you really think publishers are going to require online registration on one console and not the other,  this is the publishers idea.
