How can they leave it up to publishers if it isn't even possible in their system?

I should have said, "No evidence to support that." What you are missing is Sony stating online registration... that would mean its on 3rd party servers.

Ok. So they can do it through the system but up to them. How can that happen without Sony's approval you know what I mean? Its allowable in their system for it to have a chance otherwise it wouldn't be possible at all. 

I'll tell you now I don't understand a whole lot about it
