Guess what else college students do a lot. They move. So they're buying a potential brick. And of course the article is not limited to the internet requirement, rentals and second hand is the other big issue. College students are so full of 60 dolla bills. And at the end of the day MS is just a freeloader on my broadband because there is nothing in it for ME ! |
It's perfectly fine that it doesn't cater to you. And there will always be people that certain products don't cater to, and that's fine too.
What I was trying to say is the average first world country citizen will not have a problem with this. The average family, student, teenager, will not be effected nor will they care that much about it. Yes there will always be some that will not get the X1, whether they can't afford one, don't like the features, don't want to risk having a the possibility of an expensive blu-ray player, or just are not getting one because they want to stand up for something.
The true deciding factor for most of these people will not be the used game policy (especially since most trade to Gamestop anyways) or the checking online every 24 hours. It will be the game and features. And so far, on that front, it looks pretty promising.
