The whole point of a console is that its easy to pick up and play and is convenient for the general consumer to buy and play their games. For PC, before Steam came along, the whole gaming scene was a lot more fragmented and harder to get into. There was no centralized system in place for publishers to release their games.. So for each game release you had to individually type in the CD key before playing them. This of course means that for every time you want to play a game (which is not already on your PC) you would need to dig out your disc, booklet/cd case (with your activation code) install, then activate it. Then you have patches. Before, you'd have to search online for every update and update it individually. And if you lose your code, then you're pretty much screwed. Now steam fixes a lot of those issues and has makes it convenient for consumers (like me) who likes to play games without the dealing with all that hassle. |
I agree with this post.
Some people are just purposefully trying to find company for the XBone to make as if people complaining about it has no argument (which is ridicolous!).
At the end of the day Xbone is a console and Steam is not. Completely different things, customers and expectations.
