Eh, that's like saying it's stupid to buy a disc-based console game on Day 1 because it will eventually be on sale. The prinicple of desire is the same in both cases - if you want a game that just came (or have wanted it), you'll buy it. I don't think it's stupid to do so just because it will, eventually, be on sale.

You can get ANY game day 1 for less than what Steam charges.

Brand new PC downloads? Really? Where?

Greenmangaming for a start. But that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Oh look, Remember Me. I bought that on Steam for $49.99. Guess what it is a@ Greenmangaming: $49.99. I don't see and Day 1 deals for brand new titles.

Still doesn't make anyone stupid for choosing Steam, even IF these deals were real.

Edit: I DO see a 25% off code for Remember Me. Now, begs the question, are these random downloads or can they be activated through Steam?

It's the retail version of remember me, but it has Steam DRM and 2game delivers FAST in all of europe. Well, germany at least. Friend of mine ordered Tomb Raider retail there, the sent it monday, arrived wednesday and launch was friday. But £ 19.99 is like 24€ or something, that's half off what steam charges, you get a shiny box and can install from disc.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.
