Eh, that's like saying it's stupid to buy a disc-based console game on Day 1 because it will eventually be on sale. The prinicple of desire is the same in both cases - if you want a game that just came (or have wanted it), you'll buy it. I don't think it's stupid to do so just because it will, eventually, be on sale.

You can get ANY game day 1 for less than what Steam charges.

I'm with CGI on this one, where? I use amazon's digital service too, and they have sales also but not on games day 1
