How is the Ones and Steam's internet service different?

edit: plus steam has much better sales, M$ still wants like full price for old shitty games and the only sale i remember being worth a shit on xbl was when i bought kameo which was a launch title for $5 on sale bc its normally $20 : /     and its what 8 years later?

1st: This goes for EVERY console ever made.

2nd: You complain that you can't play these games when MS decides to shut XBL down (How likely is this in the first place?) AND you say Steam is better because of this in the same paragraph. What do you think will happen when Steam decides to kill its service? (Just as likely as MS shutting down XBL)

3rd: I can't play my old PC games on newer hardware, sorry. I have a great collection of MS Dos, Windows 95, Windows 2000 games that won't run on Windows 7 or Windows 8
