i can make a new pc and load steam and play pretty much everything.
situation: 10 years from now a new xb2 comes out. no bc, and they stop supporting xbo, sooo even with internet can you still play your games if you have some old gaming nostalgia one boring weekend? if they are not supporting it anymore? Its like i can do that with every system i have ever owned, i have kept them and go back from time to time and enjoy them still today. Not the the xbo... im just about done with consoles at this point, we will see about sony.
at least my kids will be able to know what a real gaming console was like to actually own.
edit: plus steam has much better sales, M$ still wants like full price for old shitty games and the only sale i remember being worth a shit on xbl was when i bought kameo which was a launch title for $5 on sale bc its normally $20 : / and its what 8 years later?
