I'm in the same boat. My internet connection is quite good. And I'm always connected. But what if I go to a friend, and want to play my game there, but he doesn't have a broadband connection because he lives in a remote village where broadband isn't available? And this 1 hour offline thing when you're not at home is ridiculous. Yeah, all is fine and dandy as long as I stay at home. But I tend to like to bring my consoles to my friends and family members to share my new games with them.
Doing this will be more complicated now. The advantage of consoles was their portability, compared to PCs. But with MS, it would seem that a PC and their console won't be all that different. Now, they better deliver big time on the exclusive games if they wish to convince me of getting the XBO. Because I already have a gaming PC and have no need for second one.
