When was the last time a boycott in this gaming industry really worked?

I read this about every CoD, Madden and Fifa.
Every EA game, because of DRM. Reality: SimCity is released and the servers crash, because it sold extraordinary well.

UbiSoft in 2009, because they did nut support the Wii as extensive as 360 etc.
Final Fantasy XIII, because it was released on 360 as well.

Nothing worked and we just laughed about some freaks trying to fight for something that stupid amd moved on.
