PS4 can be fully enjoyed with no internet connection at all. The have no system-wide DRM. That's all that matters. If publishers want to limit used games on the console, that is a decision all their own. Since Microsoft is already going through with it, Sony will probably have to let publishers do it on their console too.
So yeah, Microsoft is evil. Sony isn't as far as we know.
