What's actually ironic about this, if they had come out and stated it would be a digital only console... I wouldn't be complaining at all, in fact many of those policies are improvements over current digital content.

I've stated it before and I like digital only solutions. But to me the taking away of freedom to handle your disc, physical media, purchases in any form you wish, is what's at the center of my anger.


actually, when you think about it this is the most perplexing part of the whole thing...

based on the latest round of financials digital sales are in the ballpark of 30% of the market and growing.   today,..  MS is pissing off most of the gamers of the world.  in 3-5 years, most gamers would have voluntarily given up their right with no drama at all.  MS is taking tons of heat to expediate a transition that was already happening to solve an issue that was never really and issue while risking the viability of their platform.   i just don't get what they're thinking.
