Nowadays, seeing the enormous success of KH on DS and 3DS, and considering that Nintendo is heavily-coaxing big Japanese publishers to lend Wii U some support, I'd be surprised if KH III didn't also make it to Wii U in some form or another. The Kingdom Hearts audience I feel like is sort of like Sonic, not in genre, but in that those series lend themselves very well to the type of audience that buys Nintendo platforms. The sales of those series on Nintendo systems speak for themselves. |
Except Birth By Sleep on PSP outsold both those games individually... Though Birth By Sleep didn't outsell 358/2 by much. But then again, Birth By Sleep was released on a handheld with roughly half the userbase and with rapant piracy.
