wow, as you posted very intelligent response so far; I would be interrested to get your opinion on this? |
To be honest with you my friend i'd rather prefer if the consoles stayed the same way they do now. Where used games were allowed etc..
According to the website, you can trade your game to a friend. That's great, but then it's too restrictive because you can only trade it once. After that it's locked to the person you traded it too.
You can't sell the games privately on ebay or amazon or whatever which is a negative for me. It's blocking me from making money back on a game.
The fact that it says "participating retailers" means that some publishers may not even allow you to resell the game to gamestop at all. Again a negative.
The good thing is that you can trade in games to stores so that is good. Also another positive is that the controlled used games market is likely to drive prices down for new games. However whether that actually happens will remain to be seen.
I really can't see many positives with these policies unfortunately. I'd be surprised if someone didn't take MS to court in Europe for this.
It seems like MS are trying to eradicate the need for discs and just go digital download early. But they've jumped the gun here. If Sony do something similar i'm buying a new graphics card for my PC.
But this is just my opinion. It'll vary for everyone. personally i don't think it's good.
