I think if it turns out MS are the only ones doing this DRM (which is heaven for the likes of EA) then I can see this 'precedented partnership' being MS able to buy a ton of EA exclusives. Respawns title, something from Insomniac has been rumoured and Mirrors Edge 2. Stuff like that.
I think though the amount of first parties they've created over the last couple of years show they're serious about first party.
I also saw a quote the other day stating they no longer their games going to PC/other consoles but rather permanantly exclusive to X1.

How many first parties games have they created in the last couple of years? (This is a genuine question) All I seem to remember is kinect stuff and Sequal to Halo / Fable / Forza, were they not making those game since the start of the 360's lifecycle?
The 360 had a much more memorable exclusive lineup in the first half of the 360's life cycle imo. I really loved Lost Odyssey, and they also had Tale of Vesperia, Magna Carta 2, Halo Wars, Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden II amongst others; there was something there for everyone...
While I don't regret the purchase, (Lost Odyssey alone was worth it) I am slightly sadden each time I look back at my game collection and see that the last game I purchase for the 360 was Deathsmile back in 2011.
