Woah not so fast. The Wii won the generation, but like I said originally I think it is debatable whether this will be seen as a "winning strategy" long tem for Nintendo. I don't know if the Wii U will sell less than the GameCube lifetime but so far it is doing worse. As for your points:

1) I have been, because it sold the worst therefore is my best guess for loyal Nintendo fans.

2) Yes, this is what I assume (minus the GameCube owners). I feel the focus of the Wii was a more casual owner who wouldn't care who made it, and just got it for the motion control.

3) Yes, because I am one of them.

I see, you are one of those who mistakingly believe that the Wii U is a continuation of the Wii strategy. Whether or not the Wii strategy works in the long term, we cannot prove one way or the other until Nintendo uses it again for a future home console. What we do know is that not using the Wii strategy leads to disappointing results for Nintendo.

How is the Wii U not a continuation? It is a lot weaker than the competition, and the main selling point is a controller gimmick. Sounds like the Wii to me. I personally like it more than the Wii as it feels like they are catching up again with hardware quality and decent online capability, but you can feel they were aiming for the same crowd.
