Gamers by large have easily chosen PS360 over Wii. Wii was a smash hit early for everyone and especially the casual gamer which is clearly a different segment. Then no 3rd party support came, Nintendo also began focusing on next-gen, the casuals just said meh and the gamers moved to almost completely owning a 2nd system (a ps360).

You know I prefer nintendo by a large margin, but its blatant that Wii was not the "gamers" preferred console when looking at the whole generation. PS360 won that title. That doesn't mean Nintendo didn't sell the most and clearly made the most money.

I think this is also apparent when considering one of the many reasons WiiU is not taking off. The gamer is cautious due to what happened with Wii.
