Sorry but I did not see anywhere that a "hardcore" gamer should be older than a certain age or not be a COD fan.

I think I explained myself quite clearly some four posts ago and at no point did I talk about age.

OP: In my opinion (and my definition of hardcore gamer), which is someone who plays a lot of time and to a lot of games. Yes, I think the 360 has more hardcore gamers but not by far.

Playing only every CoD title or every Halo title (and they are extensively milked franchises, accounting for a major chunk of software sold) does not mean you actually play a lot of games.

Also playing WoW 24/7 doesn't make you a hardcore gamer.

That's your opinion.
My definition of hardcore gamer  is being loyal to a game (or more than one) and playing it (or playing in general) a lot.

I agree. Imho if you play games a lot, you're a hardcore gamer. It doesn't matter what games they are or how much variety is thrown in. To me a gamer who spends 14+ hours per week playing CoD or WoW is just as "hardcore" as someone who spend the same amount of time on 5-6 different games.

Once you start trying to define it on a level deeper than that, you start to see peoples agendas and negativity seep in.
