I don't see how an earlier launch means high attach ratio. Any advantage in software sales should be countered by hardware sales. Even if that were the case though, the 360's attach ratio has still been higher than the PS3's in recent years too (when the PS3 outsold the 360, but sold less software)


Don't know if someone has already mentioned this, but the key is that USA gamers buy the most software (mostly because it's cheaper there), and 360 sales are skewed towards USA.

I wouldn't say either PS3 or 360 have more core gamers. Seems pretty even to me, when the user bases in different countries is taken into account.



That wouldn't negate the idea that 360 has more core gamers. It would just explain why.
