Gen 3: My mother bought me a NES, didn't even know about anything else
Gen 4: My grandmother bought me a SNES, didn't care about the other gen 4 consoles
Gen 5: Got a N64 because of Zelda, Goldeneye and Mario, can't even remember if Saturn released in my country and a friend of mine had PS1 so i didn't see a need for it
Gen 6: Bought a Gamecube, considered PS2 for a long time but ended up not buying and XBOX didn't interest me.
Gen 7. First time i bought a non-Nintendo console. Got a Wii on launch, then PS3 a few years later. Considered a 360, but after so many hardware-issues any interest i had for the 360 died
Gen 8: Bought a WiiU at launch and a PS4 pre.ordered. XBOX isn't even considered
