Regardless of how 'peaceful' the country was, the fact is simply, he would rather killed thousands of innocents than step aside, (he bombed whole city neighbours killing women and children) which caused the peaceful protest to evolve into the civil war that we have now. And why do you think there were peaceful protest demanding he step down in the first place? Because he was doing such a great job running the country? What if instead of having an election Obama decided to bomb red states instead? That is the equivelant of what has happened here. I can't imagine anyone would be saying irate 'redneck' Americans trying to overthrow him would be worse than he is. But that what's happening here too. |
I have Syrian friends as well that have said both good and bad things about him (before the civil war started) but none of them called him an evil dictator.
Also I certainly don't believe he is the one that is killing his own people to maintain control. I believe the United States has used the Arab Spring to get rid of the people in power that they didn't like or who disagreed with them, and then made puppet governments in many countries. So now they are doing the same to Syria and of course Bashar Al Assad doesn't stand a chance against the United States, Israel and the rebels funnded by the Americans. He is being squashed from every side and getting help from Iran, Hezbollah and support from China and Russia to fight the rebels but I doubt he will survive. Isn't it interesting that the countries that aren't friends with United States are supporting him? Why would they want to support an "evil dictator"?
Finally I don't trust western news sources for news for this kind of stuff cause it is very biased and spreads false information. How can we trust that he is bombing those neighborhoods? We don't have any proof that he is doing it.
