They'll be no better replacement for Assad as Al-Maliki is turning into as Saddam's replacement, or the Muslim Brotherhood is being as the replacement for Mubarak. They're all shit because they are motivated by hatred revenge, tribalism and sectarianism, not by a desire for a better country for the people as a whole.
I've given up any hope that the Middle East will get any better until it gets much, much worse. And that invariably includes Israel as they won;t be able to wall themselves off from the shitstorm that's coming.
