Lemme think. Sega got arrogant, but Nintendo always kicked its arse. Nintendo got arrogant and Sony kicked its arse, and Sega comitted hairy curry. Sony got arrogant and Nintendo and Microsoft kicked its arse.
It hasn't been a winning strategy so far. But Apple seems to get away with it, so perhaps someone else can.
