This was done in Feb Superchunk. It was rumoured then that MS would not do a pre E3 reveal. At that point in time there was no reveal event.

So take all the information from the OP and apply it to the reveal not E3. Obviously things changed over the months. Actual rumours of the pre e3 event only came up recently as in rumours from insiders, not random guesses from people on forums. Theres a difference.

And yeah MS didnt show much games at the reveal so i think OP was correct for the reveal. Whether E3 shows games or not is irrelevant.

And to be honest nobody saw the complete focus on multimedia coming. Nobody. Yeah people were saying it would have great multimedia capabilities..but not a single person predicted the complete and total focus on that aspect of the console for almost the entire reveal event. Which amazingly enough is exactly what happend...plus almost zero focus on games.

Both of us can probably spin this to suite our opinion but imo this is already done and the OP's info seems 100% correct and validated as of right now. If you choose to take the OP as is and not assume things obviously changed since Feb internally at MS then thats your own thing i guess. I dont see how anyone can prove they have insider info then if thats the case.

Not sure why you bringing up the other threads that is not being discussed here.

I agreed that the E3 should be reveal. Just that I always (and others) said there had to be a reveal prior to E3.

However, his OP states that there won't be many games for launch. I think E3 will prove that false and I not talking about the common multiplats like EASports and COD.

Bolded. Yes I did, last year. True no one could of said the reveal wouldn't show almost any game, but I did say last year in a thread that I recently quoted in my final I was right all along series, that MS would have services/media at the forefront and at least an equal footing to games.
