For them (Nintendo) it makes sense.
E3 is the North American videogames show, and as they said during the last Nintendo Direct, the games that they will show will be focused on what will be available in North America. Following that logic, it's obvious that the game stands must be placed in NA.
The important question now is if Nintendo will follow that train of thought and, when the Gamescom starts, do the same in Europe and then in Japan for the Tokyo Game Show or not. I do really hope they do it!
(Or put the demos on the eShop to allow the WiiU/3DS users to play them)
