Areym said: At this point, I don't see PS3 losing the lead. We've got TLoU, GTAV and GT6 on the way and they should keep it going strong until the PS4 arrives. I'm not sure what the 360 has in store this year to be honest, haven't heard of much exclusives come out from them. |
PS3 hasn't seen a system seller exclusive since Uncharted 3.....just sayin.
Its all about "getting what my firends have" at this point and which one is the cheapest for working class families.

That doesn't help your case at all. The PS3 was able to catch up to the 360 AND pass with no system sellers since 2011 with your logic. Now what does that tell you about the 360 with very little exclusives/big titles coming out for it? The only two things I can think of is GTAV and CoD Ghost. Both of those sell more on the 360 no doubt, but they sell very close in the PS3.
Also, TLoU has a nice amount of hype behind, Beyond not so much and GT6 will probably sell the most out of the three. The 360 may be able to reclaim 2nd but I don't see how.

Now were talking semantics....basically Europe and Japan working for PS3 and 360 not dropping prices since fall 2008. Not for this thread. All I know is that if Halo 4 outsold all PS3 exclusives in 2012 all by itself....your viewpoint can't be right either. But again, not for this thread.

What does that have to do with anything? Literally, what does that bolded statement bring into this conversation. If there was a new halo game this year, lets call it Halo 5, then that would make it more likely that the 360 would retake 2nd place since Halo 5 would easily sell more than the 3 exclusives coming for the PS. All I'm saying is the 360 has a rough road to reclaim 2nd place due to the lack of software in comparison to its direct rival, the PS3. It is possible a $50 price cut could get it back in 2nd place, but I feel it is highly unlike because of the previously stated reason.

Point being it has little to do with software at all now. Its about geographical sales trends, price points, and marketing to keep it in the public eye.
Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
