Is it really though? I mean the improvements in speed are so minor and that alone isn't worth upgrading from W7. The Metro UI is useless on desktops/laptops and the Windows Store is a wasteland.  It's true that people don't like change but the biggest problem with Windows 8 that I hear people saying and that I myself have a problem with is mobile UI tacked onto a desktop OS. I would have actually preferred if they went pure Metro but it just doesn't work well. With Metro IE 10 I can't even quote people on VgChartz.
