no, completely false. there were talks that capcom and se would merge and buy out ms, so sony would fire back and get nintendo to get back into the hardware race. turns out apple bought ms. apple knew that the xbox was still losing money so they cut it. capcom and se than merged to buy out nintendo. dell picked up the xbox unit from apple and turned it profitable. sony is now caught in the middle, cause they used to be nintendo supporters and anti capcom and se.
