Just as hate it when blacks are generalized, I'll not entertain this broad generalization. There are many hard working whites who don't feel that sense of entitlement. The school you went to is most certainly not the norm. Also, in my years I've realized that younger black students seem to carry better grades than the older kids. More likely due to getting a job at an earlier age.
