Now this is where your ignorance of the actual business of MS is all too transparent
MS is longer only OS centric. You literally do not know what you are talking about. Revenue of windows division in the last quarter was $14bn of the $55bn total quarterly revenue Profit from the windows division was 9bn of the 21bn in the quarter. So windows is now less than half of the profits and about a quarter of the revenue. Are you saying that they dont want that extra $12bn in profit?
On the one hand people like you say they are spreading themselves to thin on the other you say they are doomed becuase PC sales are falling. Its contradictory, ill thought out and plain wrong.

Thank you, I was too lazy to post this.
The point is that MS is growing constantly on a lot of fronts.
EDD is growing and nowhere near the early days (1 billion USD profit per year)
Business division is growing with MS Office 365 (24billion USD profit per year)
Server and Tools (a division he probably never even heard of) is making great steps. (8 billion USD profit per year)
The Windows division is still growing, no matter what people say (14 billion USD profit per year)
Heck if nothing spectacular happens, the online division (Bing) will be posting profits for this year as well.
MS is so much more than just windows.
