If this site is anything to go by, I'd say the exact opposite. I keep seeing " don't worry, everything will be great.", "I don't buy second hand games anyway." comments from Xbox crowd. Instead of trying to change MS's mind they pray and hope that Sony is doing the same thing. One user even said that people who are against this idea are Sony fanboys and the internet is full of Sony fanboys. Go figure. |
I want to make a comment on the bold, regardless of who is saying it. Even if you don't buy used games or sell your games, this DOES effect you whether you like it or not. This is like saying I don't drive a car, so I don't care what the price of gas is... Believe it or not, the world turns without your sorry asses, you're just along for the ride!
What happens when your favorite franchise doesn't sell as well because people have to make cuts as to what they can afford? What happens when that studio closes?
Notice the BIG studios are supporting DRM. What about the rest? That all might come across as a little dramatic, but widespread DRM would indeed change the dynamics of the industry and ecosystem. Plain and simple.
