A good chunk of the protesting is from Xbox fans.......on every gaming news site on the internet.......for the past week and counting.....wtf you must have been joking with that.
As much as I would like to believe its all Sony fans who wouldnt buy Xbox 1 anyways, its Xbox fans who just want better.

There is a clear difference in attitude. Sony employees are saying "we hear you", Microsoft employees are saying "deal with it".
And there hasn't been anything like this from Xbox fans. All I hear is "stop being negative" and "just wait, there will be good stuff". It would be better if the Xbox fans would speak up and deal with the bad stuff, but they are too busy searching for positives. I would tweet/sign in support of any anti Xbox DRM, but apparently saying anything bad about the XB1 is a sign of weakness. Which sucks for me as I would rather own all the consoles.
I'm glad Sony fans are getting ahead of the problem, and making sure it is sorted before the PS4 comes out.

You don't see....the backlash itself, from every gaming web site, is from disgruntled Xbox gamers. They far outnumber the ones searching for positives. I don't know how to make it any clearer......the backlash, this negative PR shitstorm......is caused by not only Sony fans faning the flames, but by mostly Xbox gamers that want better.

I haven't seen that at all. I have seen the Sony fans enjoying themselves, and I have seen multi console owners sick with Microsoft not pulling their weight and becoming anti-consumer. But Xbox fans? It's all "Why the XB1 will win", "Kinect 2.0 is the next-gen killer feature" and "The cloud means XB1 is more powerful". I don't see how anyone could care about any of that until they sort this out.
If they did care, we would have #XB1NoDRM by now. Sony fans are fighting against Sony for something that has only been rumoured, but we aren't seeing something similar for something that has been confirmed.
