I stand corrected on the technicals, but my point stands that my game is tied to me.

PC gamers are the master race. So why is it bad for Xbox?

Lack of choice. People who release games on a PC can choose to have DRM or not, whereas on XB1 every game has it. And people don't exactly love DRM on PC either, remember SimCity?

Sometimes DRM is accepted because it adds value, for example Steam. It came out having a digital locker for your games that worked across many PCs, which was innovative for the time. And Gaikai and Onlive had streaming, instant gaming without downloads across many devices.

People might have accepted it on the XB1 if Microsoft added any kind of value, but they haven't managed to show any. So far, the only information they have given are the negatives.

So you are saying if MS can manage to show that it can have a steam-like effect, then allz good?

I'm saying they could save it if they have done something innovative. Something like Steam wouldn't be enough these days, as the digital stores on the consoles cover those features. Plus look at Origin on PC. Everyone hates that, even though it is pretty much like Steam, because it is old news and only made for DRM.

I would be fine with MS doing this online/used games thing, but only if there is some amazing feature that means it is necessary. Otherwise we have a better console without it.
