This game was specifically designed with the WiiU in mind. Anyone who played the (free!) Challenge App will notice that.

While it´s great news, so everyone will be able to play it on their favorite platform, it´s clear that the game won´t play as smooth and well on other platforms as it is on WiiU

The Vita version can be great, since the touch screen can be used for the Murphy stages, it would be a great idea if they were able to adapt it for a combined Vita+PS3 gameplay - mimicking a Gamepad (though I bet very few people would try it), but the multiplayer designed levels of the game will be hurted anyway, since more than one console will be needed for that. On the WiiU you can have it with only a few old wiimotes.

Handhelds always fail when it comes to local multipayer. I'm playing Powerstone Collectionright now on Vita, and it desperately needs a local MP. For rayman I think its more of minor addition as opposed to a big art of the experience. I can't help but wish that sony reveal some sort of Vita Big screen functionality where you can play Vita games on your PS4, whilst allowing local MP with a PS4 control and gaikia handeling the processing. Probably a pipe dream but still....
