They did not listen when Sony was the first manufacturer ever to release online passes for their first party games.

You mean out of the big 3 right? 

Microsoft doesn't need to since they have online play behind a paywall.
Nintendo doen't need to since online isn't a big part of their games.

Sony was the first to use online passes because they're the only ones that can.

I don't know how this is relevant though. Online Passes =/= DRM
