Cant believe Some people defending this DRM just cos they love XBox, its truly crazy.
And no its not illegal to lend a film or game you've bought to a friend, no matter what a license agreement may say. They have no legal right to stop any private use of products you have bought including watching it with friends or letting them borrow it.
How do we know these license agreements hold no water for private sale or private lending, because if they did then you wouldn't be allowed to trade them in at shops in the first place!!
