Your first point was exactly my point. I never said PC was closed.

No, you paid for a license to your PC games. Steam protects your license of use through their system (cloud gaming) which the PS3 and 360 have been using since 2005 and 2006. You essentially own nothing. Physical ownership is the only ownership that matters.

I beg to differ that PC is superior outside of hardware upgrades, open format and being able to mod which I care nothing for truthfully.

Whether we own it or license/rent it is still a grey area as far as I know, as no precedent has been set out in the courts.
Besides, when you buy a game it says "Buy now", not license, not rent, buy. - On that wording alone in allot of European countries the consumer should come out ahead on the basis of false advertising (As they're more inclined to side with the people.).

However, I sure as hell trust Steam/Valve who are a private company whose main objective is not to appease money hungry shareholders over that of Micrososft and Sony who are Public companies who try to gain ever more profits.

As for your last point, please. Do enlighten me in the aspects where a console is superior to that of a PC, just for my own amusement.
