I don't understand exactly what you're asking. It didn't change my opinion on PC gaming at all, no.

My point was that people were saying they would switch to PC gaming because of the Xboxes issues. Problem is even with all the issues the Xbox has right now Xbox gamers still have more gamer rights than PC gamers as far as ownership is concerned. The second anyone believes a digital game truly belongs to them they are sadly mistaken. This is exactly what companies want, to push the anti-consumer agenda. What Microsoft did was a scary omen for console gaming, but gamers own their game as long as its on their console. The problem is putting terms on that ownership is a huge hot button issue that MS will have to answer for. Very anti-consumer.

Difference between PC and console games: You will always have those PC games and can always play them, even if you buy a new PC. Same can't be said for console games. To me, that is more gamer rights as far as ownership is concerned. They are digital, but they are yours and will be so far longer than a single console "lives".

But what about in the future when you update your computer or get a new one and that OS doesnt run older games? This has been an issue for me, moreso than the anything else. I tried to play FF7 PC version but Vista would not run it. There was a work around but it was like 50 freaking steps, not very user friendly.
