Is there a danger that people are giving the PS4 too much of a free pass?

It's a twisted situation. On one hand you could have used game blocking through the internet, on the other hand some disk marker/writing tech. What happens if the console dies? You would still have to somehow register the game over the internet at least once and thus make the disk redundant. I lost my urge to collect games with this new policies.
