Yep, they're real. Xbox boss Phil Spencer confirmed in an interview this afternoon that the footage you saw for Forza Motorsport 5 and Remedy's Quantum Break this morning are running on Xbox One dev kits. Not renders or some other trickery, you skeptics. I know some out there were questioning some of the screenshots and footage from this morning. Stop. They're the real deal.

That doesn't prove they are in-game though. It could have been in-engine which usually looks better than gameplay. I'm actually betting on them being in-engine mostly. Both Drive Club and F5. Unless I'm messing up what in-engine means.
*edit* he doesn't actually say in-game. I'm sure developers call in-game and in-engine both "real"

Yes, it may not be rendered but the line between in-game and in-engine is a thin one it appears and while not technically wrong to say the footage is real, it appears it does not represent what the game will look like once it is actually played in-game.
