This whole conversation is moot. Nintendo has already come out and said they will not block used games.... direct quote, ""We haven't incorporated any features that will discourage used game sales at this point. We're not trying to circumvent that."

Instead for their first party titles at least, they are shipping less retail units and pushing digital. For their biggest games, Mario, Mario Kart etc, they will definitely ship plenty of units but still try and make the download version as appealing as possible.

If third parties were to completely bail (instead of just implementing their usual online pass things), Nintendo will just have to do what they have almost always done.....carry the system by themselves. If people simply don't buy the PS4 or the Xbone and flock to the Wii U instead (purely hypothetical situation), third parties will rethink their strategy. Few have completely burned Nintendo.....even EA went back on their word a bit.

They won't be blocking used games.....probably because they are paying close attention to the backlash the Xbone is getting. I don't think it's mere coincidence that they announced the time of their E3 Direct when they did....

Actually, that statement really says they haven't done it at this point, not that they never would, in any case, no discussion worth having is moot.
