And lets be honest here, this is a service of microsoft I'm 100% sure that you need to have a Gold Live subscription to even use the live TV service. So that's another $60 a year on top of the TV provider subscription. Its just too expensive and not worth it as a standalone. |
Well we're talking about the entire generation not just the launch window at launch price. Plus, if they enter agreements with cable companies, the price would be a lot less for the customer. It's not really just "to watch TV" it's to watch TV in a new and better way. People buy stuff for entertainment purposes all the time. People already buy games and consoles knowing they'll need a Live subscription. If the service is good enough, this will be no different.
