I don`t know if they will win the US. My guess is that they won`t.
XB1 has 2 strengths: Kinect2.0 and media/TV functions.
Although, to me, Kinect only offers a refined experience, it`s integration with tv functions are good and might appeal to people. I just don`t see your average Kinect user buying na expensive console just for the added functionalities and that NFL deal.
It`s, so far, the best proposal, on the media side, yet, with the basic experience already provided by the first Kinect, impossibility of using Kinect 1 on this console and the higher price, it will have a tough time to do as well as Xbox 360, which has been dominating the US market for some time now - by outselling the competition non stop.
In the end, there are a number of reasons on why XB1 could really do well and other reasons on how that might not happen in the end.
But to me, the bad will outweight the good as i think the bad carry more weight than what XB1 has to offer so far.
