Jimmy Fallon was playing it the next day. He messed up and had the character shooting the cieling so it was clearly actual gameplay. The only thing that was fake was that the guy couldn't die in the demo (wouldn't want that happening in a conference anyway).

In 2005, the whole thing was fake:
"To those who weren’t around at the time or who may not recall, at E3 2005, Sony showed a trailer for Killzone 2, which to some looked as though it wasn’t actual gameplay footage despite SCEA VP Jack Tretton stating it was “real gameplay everybody’s seeing out there,” to IGN at the time.
Later, it was revealed by a Guerrilla rep on the US PS forums that it was a render, which showed what was “possible on PS3,” instead of actual gameplay footage which was eventually shown during E3 2007."

I know but Fallon was playing it himself. The SAME demo they showed at the conference. In front of a national audience. With the controller in his hands. The character was messing up so bad and I doubt Jimmy would be part of some big scam and act like he's playing. Sorry but this has been proven to be gameplay this time.

Do you have any proof for this? On which hardware did they play it? A computer? Sorry, but only stating something doesn't proove anything, especially because the render-target and the playable game differ graphically.

oh come on man! Did you even watch it? So I guess Fallon is part of some big conspiracy? I mean KZ2 ended up looking miles better than that demo anyway so even if it's a complete lie then I'll get to play an even more amazing looking KZ in 2016 (it's not fake and I don't know why you're making this into an issue but just saying).
