Well he's been working with Microsfot as his publisher for years. He doesn't know how these other places offer better opportunities. Here's what he should think about, the indies that aren't big enough to be noticed by publishers.
What will happen is that the "next Minecraft" will appear on the PS4 and not the Xbox one. You will start seeing success stories just like you do on the iOS Apstore.
