I use Steam. I love Steam. But Valve and the companies who put their games on Steam don't make them cheaper out of the kindness of their hearts. The market dictates the price. When heavy DRM hit the PC market, this is what publishers have to do to make gamers buy their games. It will take awhile but this is eventually going to happen on consoles as well. This is just the first step.

I'll wait for it (cheaper prices) to happen on consoles then. If I can buy the games for $10 or less like on Steam, then fine I don't need to sell them on, and can spend an extra $10 to gift them to friends instead of giving the disc.

Oh well I've got 8 Kickstarter games lined up (all drm free), plenty more exciting current gen games coming out without restrictions. Next console gen can wait a couple of years. Excitement down to 0. Unless Sony stands up to EA etc and doesn't go along with this crap, but seeing as how 3rd party are ignoring the WiiU it's better to wait a while.
