Sounds like PR speak. There is absolutely a downside to them marketing this as an entertainment box. Unlike some people believe, MIcrosoft doesn't have unlimited funds. Every cent spent in securing some NFL deal or exclusive app, is money that could have been spend securing an exclusive game or even building a new studio. You can't built an everything box without something suffering. Unfortunately, gaming is what's going to suffer. Now, that doesn't necesarily mean the system will get less games or that that the PS4 will be better at them. If you think about this from a publishers perspective, every minute you spend watching TV is a minute you could have spend playing a game. It's surprising that EA is supporting Microsoft so much when a few years from now Microsofts strategy could build this mentality that buying the new Halo can wait until you finish watching a season of Game of Thrones. Now, most of us already run into these problems, we do have limited time. What Microsofts problem is that it is positioning TV/Movies as more important then Games when most of us feel the opposite way.

Its more like a 50/50 approach, as it is going to be designed as a all-in-on box. You are just percieveing it as more important because they said time and time again they are saving the games for E3.
Should they have done the features heavy at the reveal? No. But they have and they gotta roll with it.
But they did announce they were going to invest a billion in new games and content. So there is that.

$1Billion for 15 games a nd $500million for an NFL deal. That should put things into perspective for you. Why you are defending Microsoft when they are doing their best to screw consumers I just don't get it. Do you own Microsoft shares?

It does put things into perspective...that they are putting more then double into games.
They are expanding the number of consumers that would be interested and like it or not, the positive features make things very convienent.
Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
