A $400-600 pc (which is the price range at launch) can get you a passable mid range pc. These are ok. When you price it at $200-300 range, this is where it can be hard to find a reliable pc.
True enough that PCs do have exclusives and that quite a few non-exclusive games are best played on the PC (if you can afford it and deal with PC quirks).
Ease of use is: plug and play, no hassle, dedicated platform, requires little maintanance, uses a controller, put disc in game plays, etc.

Added pro: console exclusive. There are plenty of exclusives to consoles that you never will see on the PC. That imo is the primary reason for people to be idorts or at least own both a PC and a console of their choice.
