Japan is irrelevant to MS. That doesn't make it irrelevant to Sony or Nintendo (though, for home consoles, it is shrinking to that point anyway). They won't make serious efforts like they did with 360.

Why MS waste resources and money in advertisement in trying to attract the Japanese market? I think its more like MS is irrelevant to Japan at this point.

And after wasting that this gen, I doubt they're going to make as much of an effort this gen. And whether you want to say Japan is irrelevant to MS or MS is irrelevant to Japan, you arrive at the same conclusion.
